This site was re-visited in July 2007 for photo upgrade, but it rained me off, which is the third time. I also got caught in floods on thy back home, but not before I had a great breakfast here,,, thank you A1 Truckstop. Its also one where I am keen not to have eaten for some time before arrival, that I might enjoy the delights of the A1 Truck Stop, Lorry Park, Transport Cafe. This is a Good classic food stop. The staff are attentive and keen to look after customers, this is always a delight in itself! Please note that if you are a vegetarian or would like a nice healthy meal or snack, salad or otherwise then this is the place to go.

The A1 TruckStop (correctly spelt Truck Stop) is easily found on the A1 roundabout at Colsterworth
It is roughly 8 miles from Grantham & 12 from Stamford
The roundabout has four exits, if northbound turn right on the A151 and it is easily seen some 100yds (mtrs) on the right, easy wide turn in for all HGV's

The A1 Truck Stop Lorry Park Transport Cafe is a unique operation with regards to the Transport Cafe, which is perhaps known better as Margaret’s Transport Cafe. Margaret has known some of the drivers for 20 years, and providing good food is her dedication, with the aid of her friendly staff. They were very good and attentive to all the customers.

The Unique part is the Actual Building which is like an American diner in near all respects, polished metal outer skin and retaining the same character inside, PLUS a REAL JUKE BOX.
My feelings were that this is a very good atmosphere, and the food I observed looked good, the quantity of food on the plate was also good. The near mimic of an American diner is unique and you can feel the desire of the owner and staff to give that, we are special impression. This operation whilst well established is now moving forward and will not stagnate; a fair quantity of love is involved in this service to professional drivers. Well-adjusted members of the general public will like this stop, if they are looking for good food and value for money and good service.

Excellent meals and good price, good service, real food, not like the Little Chef, we always plan to call in here for a meal when passing. We decided to try it after a horrible stop at a little chef, we wish we had done so sooner, we can eat a real meal just like we might have at home, meat and vegetables with gravy, or really wonderful salads if we prefer.
