This Cafe was closed and has now reopened with NEW hours of business as written below. The new owner has already established himself in Caithness business wise,, and is not a stranger to the county or its population. This website wishes him good fortune with the hope he will provide a winter service for those travelling north and south, if in doubt give the establishment a phone call, it never hurts.
Its worth a mention here that many Cafes or Transport cafes in Scotland are attended by all members of the population. The Scots population generally don’t have a hang up regards using what is called a Transport Cafe, Indeed, it is,,, and they are,,, quite rightly,, essentially a cafe serving everyone.
Berriedale Transport Cafe and limited Truck stop, limited because rigids can park, coaches can park, but it does require other vehicles to have sensibly parked, smaller rigids like 7.5 toners should be ok.
40/44 ton weight Artics would not be able to park here. If your light and the park is clear in the none tourist season, you could muck about reversing about and eventually parking.

If the parking area is marked well,, so that a commercial vehicle can park in the wide entrance region,, whilst the cars can park at the cafe entrance area,, it would be to advantage, odd cars parking in the entrance region, can prevent commercial vehicles from even trying to park.
As in most case I have shown the views from the entrance, as you the driver might see it as you approach,, useful if you have not been before.
