Buses and Coaches, PSV PCV Photos. If you drive a PSV PCV send me a photo of your Steed with some details of what a modern coach has, or if its an old one just as good or better, especially if it boils when going up long hills with passengers on board.
I can remember Midland Red buses based at Shrewsbury doing private day trips to the Welsh coast via the horseshoe pass, every time they made their way up, they boiled over and had to stop for a while, then a little more progress then another stop, eventually on a hot day the passengers had to get out and walk the last few hundred yards to the top where the Cafe is so the poor old bus could get to the top....... Arrrrrrrr,, those were the days, who remembers those???
I was just a kid who fell into streams when the bus stopped for a passenger break, and then all my clothes were hung out of the coach to dry as it went along its way. Socks flying from the driver’s mirror, other items trapped in wind up windows, what a sight, well, 40 miles per hour was fast then for those buses. Also this was a long journey for a bus or coach unlike today, even taking into account traffic problems.
Write to me with your account or experiences. lets get them documented.
Many years Later Midland red Buses were to travel up the M1 Motorway at 80MPH with specially trained drivers who were selected for the duty. Some of these buses were the first, what we called, Plastic body buses. The panels were made of plastic or fibreglass and were said to be the first buses in the world to be built this way. Were you involved in this, write me today.
Here are some Buses and Coaches (PSV PCV) and HGV LGV Photos.

I couldn’t resist taking a photo of the reflections, now you know I’m a whitey.
If you wouild like a high defination photo/image of this Coach or Bus just send me an e mail request. The usual restrictions apply, personal and none profit use only unless a donation made to charity.

Lucky passengers below on Shearings Coaches taking a break at the Laidhay Museum and Cafe (see cafe list page A9 Caithness) in the Far North Of Scotland. If you are north bound on the A9 make sure to take a break here for tea and cakes, all home made and excellent, or a super breakfast, and you can always take some away for later in the hotel, well legs up,,, watching the telly a nice cuppa and a home made cake or two or three or more ..... Well why not!

M6 Motorway and the Famous Forton Services. I remember stopping there for a meal many moons ago, about 520 moons to be more accurate, when they served food at the top, it was expensive enough and badly cooked, cold, with sloppy service, what more can a hard working chap ask for

Gus Murray the boss was taking fish to the far north west of Scotland, I spotted him here taking a break on the Struie, located between Inverness and Bonnar Bridge, wonderful country but for an HGV taking this route a number of hills and sharp bends have to be negotiated. The white tanks on the back are full of fish. If you have got one it came by truck, whatever it is!

Here we have W.D. Cormack Trucks again, sorry about the cab being clipped on the photo, it will be replaced I am told by a better shot. If you see them parked up say hello from www.transportcafe.co.uk

Do you know this driver parked in Thurso HGV PSV Park (see cafe list A9) taking a break to keep in line with legal requirements?
You guys have it easy these days ..... Air Conditioning ... heated seats ... radio ... tape players ... CD players ... syncromesh gears ... soft seats ... quiet engines ... draft free ... smell free ... built in beds ... sat nav systems ... telephone in the cab ... room service ... boxes and curtains ... smart suits ... wash hand basin ... toilet ... micro wave ovens ... grills ... TV ... sat dish .. Ok so you don’t have that yet ,,, its another world mate,,, I can tell you.

Before you go to the e mail click to tell me that there should be more coaches than Trucks or HGV, I do try hard but its just that coaches are not so many as Trucks, but, I do try hard, you can help by sending some in to me or giving me a location of some interesting ones, so put the stones away you PSV or PCV fellows/Girls/Ladies.
