Trucking Photographs
Trucking Photographs in the UK, also Coaches. Scenes that a night trunker will see, that many others miss, the night time sky, all the wonder of the hidden hours, the twilight world. (Please see the Aurora Page). Here we have a pipe and drum band for your entertainment, Oh! and their dog of course. If you should see them one night chaps, well! you just might check your Tachograph for how many hours you have been behind the wheel hi hi...
On to another point, I have a coach here for you Drivers, all equipped to educate you to degree level for that choice office job I mentioned,,,, all right all right,,,, I do that to the chicken at Xmas.

Many drivers will have seen sky scenes in those late hours of the night. This was taken near to 11pm (23.00hrs) on Scotland’s north coast, it shows the sun setting in the north, it just dips below the horizon at midnight, never getting dark, then at 01.00hrs (1am) it gets lighter, at 2am its fully light. Sometimes this combined sun set and sun rise run uninterrupted by cloud, its quite a sight. The dark horizon here is a combination of Moor land and a forest of Norwegian Spruce, that’s the one tradition says you use at Xmas. Also you can see the TV mast at Rumster plus electricity supply pole in silhouette.
Below we have the same coach seen from the side.
The drivers of this police car were taking a rest, all drivers need good rest including the Police. All these Volvo cars names that are prefixed with a letter exceed 150MPH, and one will go from 0mph to 60mph in 6.7 seconds. However with all that weight going around corners fast after say a Seat Ibiza diesel sport, would be futile. It would be fair to say the Seat Diesel could overtake the Volvo on the outside when the Volvo was at max speed. But that’s for the track and not public roads. A few minutes later this car was attending a motorway crash on the M6 under a bridge south of Poplar services. See the transport Cafe list.
This small road across the Kyle of Tongue has had many a HGV, Multi Drop etc. and commercial traveller across it. Its on the north coast of Scotland near Rabbit Islands.
This photo of Bert Christie Transport (Portsoy livestock haulage), was taken at the Skiach Transport cafe services, fuel 24 hours, Britains most northern 24 hour fuel services and shop, located 20 minutes north of Inverness, see the Transport cafe list.
