Castle of Mey, The Queen Mothers Castle

The Castle of Mey is perhaps know as "The Queen Mothers castle", it being located on the north coast of Scotland.....
This photo was taken in Feb 2003 with an Olympus C700ZU with zoom set at X10 optical. In the background is Dunnet Head and the Village of Brough in its heart.
Also showing on this page is a zoomed photo of the Island of Stroma, Situated near opposite Mey castle, this is also zoomed as it is some miles away. This is followed by a large dumper truck on the foreshore near Mey, you cans see its engine is in good order by the blue smoke coming from its exposed engine, well, it gives it character,,,,
We then move to Safeway heading north over the causeway Muir on the A9, on a cold and frosty morning, no traffic jams here, ever, just sheep, deer, rabbits, and game birds but not a Zebra or Pelican crossing to be seen. The road twists away in the distance with the national grid alongside as can be seen, see if you recognise the driver in the close up.
Moving farther south near Inverness we have the oil rig or drilling platform, then further down running across the border is the National Express Coach, one of many running the roads of Britain, seen here taking a break near the Scottish English border.
