Keele Services is one of the oldest in the Uk, I am not sure if it was built at the same time as the next northern one A534 Congleton turn off, whatever, I drove on this motorway with a Leyland comet Artic on the day the M6 opened.

It was a section from Penkeridge Staffs, north of Wolverhampton, to a point south of Blackpool, where as it happened, I was delivering to a toffee factory on that day. I remember it well, (during the war (joke)) I remember the services had its OWN TRANSPORT CAFE, we did not have to lower ourselves to eat with the fools who had cold food, small meals, slow service, and paid much more, true, what a laugh! However times have changed and I have no experience of eating in the services of motorway cafes, where you can still purchase a cooked meal.

We have a nice photograph of a Rolls Royce wedding car circa a long time ago, and the Red Cross Royal Air Force service vehicle.
