In North Wales Valspar Make the inSide Coatings For Cans..here is a Photo Of Steve Dodd left, and Driver Keith. Many miles of safe driving chaps. They send their thanks to the hours expert for the help he gave them.
I have just returned from a trip to the far north of Scotland, during which I felt I had become a prophet.
Whilst northbound on the M6 I arrived at a southbound crash of a car and caravan, the whole southbound side was totally blocked, caravan on its side wrecked, car also looking like a write off, the humans inside I cannot account for. I felt myself unsurprised as I had been driving at just under 70mph myself and had been passed a few times by caravans, all wiggling about as usual, waiting to go critical at any moment. Today with four wheel drive low gear ratios, they can pull a caravan at higher speed than they could in the past, more easily, some may have a stabiliser fitted, but that has its limitations. A few times on the 600 mile drive I dropped back as I thought it dangerous being close to some of them as they were unstable with wife and kids en suite. I said to myself,,,,,,, I am sure to see at least one more crash with a caravan today,,,,, I thought it had to be as a rationalisation of the law of averages,,, sure enough south of Inverness on the dual carriageway another had gone critical, blocking the northbound A9.
Now I had arrived at the scene behind four more cars and felt I knew exactly what had happened, but I had not been there at that moment it happened, so how could I know???,,,,, I plead guilty to pre-judging!
I had seen some caravan drivers driving at a safe speed, but for the best part they are idiots, self pronounced fools. Any caravan driver reading this knows that my words are accurate. I really think that all drivers should be given two years to get a caravan towing licence, or sell their caravan. I am sure they would pass the test after instruction, but they need instruction. Ask some what the forward the weight should be, they would not even know what forward weight was! The older caravans seemed to have sensible drivers, the worst were 4 wheel drives. I have to admit no surprise at this. One such combination going south on the M6 from the lake district was touching near 80 mph in my estimation, a complete madman putting many other innocent users on the road at risk. He slowed on the hills and pulled away on the flat and down hill, leaving my 70mph vehicle far behind eventually. I have owned two caravans, its good fun, a sort of freedom, but, speed has to be watched at all times, even the permitted speed limit can be to fast in some conditions. What they just dont appreciate is that over a certain speed a caravan can go critical in a flash, nothing can be done, its to late,,,,, The End!

Valspar Transport HGV Tanker

Caravan crash on the A9, no other vehicles involved, thankfully!

This driver has over 50 miles of single track road to cover when southbound for the continent. The A838 goes through mountains and winding roads full of cars heading into blind bends without any awareness of other vehicles coming from the opposite direction, especially a 44 toner. This driver was forced to stop by an uncaring motor biker who could have easily stopped and should have!
It’s a drive for the night only in my opinion

Northern Mail Man, or Post man Pat! on the B855 on Dunnet Head, Scotland most Northern Point. These chaps have some miles to do every day. Personally I think we get excellent service, from one end of the Uk (mainland) to the other for 28 pence,,, hell that’s cheap and delivered to the door. My thanks to the Great Royal Mail.

city link on the A9 Berriedale Braes, Caithness Scotland. We see the driver has to be on both sides of the road at the same time.
All commercial drivers are very focused at this dangerous hairpin, on a steep Hill.

This Fishing Trawler is taking on ice to keep the fish fresh when out at sea,,, now you know!
