ANOTHER PAGE OF ENGLISH COUNTRYSIDE PHOTOGRAPHS
Putting the Scots at the top we start in the Far North of Scotland showing the main road bending its way through the Causway Muir Flow Country’s northern boundary. A coach can just be seen some two miles away heading south. The national Grid taking power over the Uk is very apparent, with its insulators slanting to the side as the wind blows the power lines, pulling the insulators, all can be clearly seen, the voltage would be about 330KV I think, I have not checked this so please check it out if important. During the 1950's I think it was about 130KV in many places, but increased over the years as demand and technology improved, this is my appreciation so again if important please check it out. Below the Grid is an 11KV (accurate) local distribution supply running and serving those small farms and cottages in these wind torn places. This is the way Electricity is transported, quite different from the can of beans in your larder.
An English Country village and its small road at the end of a summer, the crab apples are red on the tree, the old barn, the Village Inn, the local man on his bike, the colours of that fading summer show everywhere.
The English Hall dates back some hundreds of years, it is possible to visit this hall during the year, the gardens are as they should be for a old established building like this, large trees, nice lawns, allowing nature its percentage of the grounds.
Totem poles on a hill in Scotland, yes you can walk there if you have a day, the view would be wonderful. This location is by the Skiach Transport Cafe on the A9, please see the cafe list on this website for exact details,,, if you do visit,,, take coloured beads and gifts to ensure safe return.
We then have a field in summer in the heart of England, its coloured crop on part of the fields is colourful, set in the background is a Tudor house. Running through the middle of this scene unseen, is the M54 motorway. Close by are the new Telford Services which are quite pleasant with their outside eating area, very suited to relaxation.
Virgin Trains running through England again, here is a quite modern engine,,, I understand that the driver sits in his special seat and then verbally commands, "Make it So".
Last on this page is another Horse Wallpaper photograph, not so well suited to wallpaper if you have a lot of icons on the desktop, but, a relaxing scene taken on the Welsh English Borders. The size of this is 1024 by 768 for those with that viewing size on their screen, you can reduce it yourself and retain the definition if you are knowledgeable enough. Drive with care out there,,, fit large ship type foghorns to remove cars hogging the middle lane of motorways, followed by the words "Oh Blast!"
