There are drivers that you don’t want to meet, this is one of them,,, he is a nice chap but,,, you get to meet him if you break down rather than in other circumstances,, so generally you don’t want to meet him, poor chap,,, fancy not being wanted,, well if you do breakdown then of course you will want him yesterday and the fault repaired by breakfast time that day.
I remember as a young man on Artics and rigids breaking down on the odd occasion,, its not what you want,,, for some reason its upsets you more than the boss,, if of course you work for one,,, sitting down twiddling your thumbs (proverbially for our American and overseas friends) can be hell, I don’t expect anything has changed,, so back to the HGV breakdown service in Telford, junction 4, M54. .
It is quite often that breakdown services for HGV are smart outfits, this one is no exception. The service is located in Telford on the M54 (A5) junction 4, the route to Wales from the midlands or M6 junction 10A which is about 10 or 15 minutes away, so I would imagine that the M6 spaghetti junction area, is a common recovery for this outfit. Also the M6 past Stoke and Stafford are about 30 minutes away, so he can cover a wide area quite easily from this location, also to the Welsh border and beyond where the A5 and A483 takes you. You can find this operation at www.automechanical.co.uk
To make a change look out for this car on the roads,, one of the latest at the motor show June 2004. Also the small eco car .
Rays Scania has been featured on these pages and we have his daughter Annette here standing at the front of his Volvo, proud of her Dad and his HGV, Rays son took the photo, seems like a happy family, I am looking forward to a photo of his wife to complete the set!
How about the Red Arrows air display team, well we have a simulation of them here in an HGV which was off to an Air Show in the UK, Dave the driver was waiting for the bosses wife to deliver a entry pass, lucky for me, keep up the good work Dave.
Scania seem to be featured in these pages quite a lot of late, so I shall have to try for others in the course of the next few weeks
