The far north of Scotland can have quite a lot of snow, a blizzard can come from nowhere and when it does holding your hand in front of yourself is about all you can see. Its best described as follows…. You are driving along a road and it seems quite heavy and grey overhead. It gets darker. Suddenly there are snowflakes everywhere. You are thinking you need a snow Plough. The windscreen wipers cannot move the snow. The road was perfectly clear, as were the sides of the road and grass or heather. As fast as you can count to ten the windscreen is all snow, you cannot see through it, by the time you have stopped, and you have to stop, the road has gone from view or is going fast. You cannot see where the road is, or the road edge, or grass, it all looks the same.
You are now thinkling you need a snow blower.
You cannot turn and go back, you cannot go forward, you cannot open the vehicle door or the inside would be filled with snow and or the door torn off by the wind, in short…
You aint going no-where for a long time.
That’s snow, its not fun here, its dangerous.
