A1(M) ... Jayne' s Place - A614 Blyth (Notts) It is located just where the A1(M) ends at Blyth (Notts). Take the first exit left off the A1(M) roundabout onto the A614. The Cafe is just half a mile down the road. Recently refurbished but the overnight parking restrictions you mention do apply. I have called in and know local workmen use it well and give it good marks. ... I've seen Truckers park up in the Blyth Moto Services which are on the roundabout at the end of the A1(M) and walk down the road to this cafe. (Can understand why - like many Moto Services, Blyth is well overdue for refurbishment - small, cramped, scruffy and most of the security/street lighting no longer works) Don't know closing time at Transport Cafe but think it may be around 7pm. .. The pub offers food, showers and of course liquid beverage for the tired trucker. There are also rooms available for the more affluent amongst us. There is big screen tv and a pool table. Josies Truckstop on the North Bound A1 at Woolfox a couple of miles north of Stamford, she also has one across the road on the Southbound, Truckers Breckie with all the trimmings 3-99 including Pint pot of Tea, one of these breakfasts see you through the full day. Free parking overnight at Josies as its a very large lay by ex road. Cafe is usually open 7 days a week Mon - Fri is 06-30 - 20-00 hrs Sat is about 7-00 - 16-00 Sunday is or was 09-00 - 16-00. I would give Josies 9 out of 10 for a rating she lost 1 point for the fried bread being a bit too greasy. I am beggining to miss her breakfasts as I type, OH how I wish I were back on the road. (near) A47 junc The Stibbington Diner is located just off the A1 southbound after the stibbington turn off, which is in turn located a few miles down the road from the A47 Peterborough Junction. This Transport cafe was sent in by Martin Price. Davey Hours Guard says this is a fully fledged serious Transport Cafe for HGV. (MORE FEEDBACKNOW FOLLOWS) I am not an HGV driver, but travel the country frequently, and this site is excellent. The Stibbington Diner is a very reasonable cafe, open 24 hours during the week, and limited hours at the weekend. Very reasonable prices - a main course e.g. pie, chip, veg and a cup of tea for 3.50. Situated where the fosse way crosses the A5 this superb cafe which is a converted red 20ft box trailer offers brilliant food and value, owner is an ex driver. well worth a visit. A5 very near..2 minutes up A458 Dinkys Dinah (diner) Transport Cafe Truck Stop which is 24/7 operation Located some few miles outside Shrewsbury on the Welshpool road. A5.... Nescliffe Bypass EASTBOUND SIDE ONLY This is essentially a services stop but it does supply agency fuel for HGV all credit cards with 24/7 operation. It has a Cafe area in roughly daytime hours only. There is a shop with food items plus other shop goods found at service stations. The food prices are as a service station near enough so this cant be listed as a truck stop or Transport Cafe but it is very useful in those odd hours for shop and fuel agency supplies. Lorries are able to park overnight as the whole area is near 100% empty, coach bays are ideal. There is an excellent sit in fish and chip Cafe (Treat yourself its good) (breakfasts and more) 100yds from this park. Hours of business are sit in Tuesday to Saturday breakfasts 08.00 to 11.30hrs. 11.30hrs to 19.00hrs. Take away hours are 11.30hrs 20.hrs. A9.... Berriedale Braes Cafe. NOW CLOSED Located at the bottom of Berridale, 10 miles north of Helmsdale and 10 south of Latheron. Suitable for some rigid HGv, but loaded Artics would be unable to use this (not always) all year facility. Good for all other vehicles. I have seen 6 wheelers in here. A9... A86. Chefs Grill at Newtonmore Located on the southern side of Newtonmore.. The directions for the cafe are as follows. Heading north on the A9 you come to Ralia rest area/view point with an information centre etc at the next junction past this area which is also the northern entrance to Ralia turn left marked Newtonmore on the sign post there is also bed and breakfast bunkhouse type place on the junction, you then go over 2 bridges then past the football field and it is the first large building on the left with a large tarmac car park it is called the chefs grill it is only maybe 1.5 to 2 miles from the A9 southern junction. From the north on the A9 take the A86 Kingussie junction go straight through Kingussie, then through Newtonmore but don’t follow the A86 head back towards the A9 and it is the last place on the right just after some new houses. A11....Snetterton TruckStop now closed , Nr Thetford Further info on this cafe or reports appreciated.I have used this Transport cafe some years back, the meal was fantastic, served on an oval plate, I hope its still the same. THIS TRANSPORT CAFE HAS NOW CLOSED, YET ANOTHER BUILDING SITE!

The Red Lodge Truck Stop or and Transport Cafe Lorry Parking is located North of the A14 A11 intersection. Follow the A11 dual carriageway north to the first slipway turn off and cross over the A11 and turn left north again. Drive a few hundred yards up the road and the lorry parking area is on the right and the 24/7 cafe is on the left. A12 & A14 eastbound Nacton Ipswich, Orwells crossing lorry park VERY GOOD COACH STOP £10 overnight parking fee For which you get shower ( puts my homeshower to shame ) £3 off meal voucher ( which are excellent). The place has only been open since february, consists of bar area with large screen satellite T.V. restaurant area, 11 self contained showers, secure parking area covered by cctv open 24hrs. Landscaping in progress but at no loss to this excellent site. Easily seen from A14 eastbound just before A12 turnoff.Has Mcdonalds sign clearly visible on approach. Very friendly and helpful staff, Mick Wild.

A14 - A138 - A130 Chelmsford Local Authority Lorry Park Located off Junction 19 on the A12 Chelmsford. This junction intersects with the other A roads mentioned above. I am informed by the Police it operates 24/7. Enclosed is an image of the local roads, observing the signposts shown on this map/image it can be said to be enough to guide you in. The Lorry Park is clearly shown on one of the signposts visible on this map. A premier Inn is located on the same site. If they have a TableTable restaurant there also,, I can commend it for good value and good food. No other information on facilities available yet, unless YOU can tell me? A14...A1120 Intersection at Stowmarket. Located actually on the A1308 3/4 minutes away On Arriving at the A14 A1120 Intersection take the Stowmarket direction on the A1120 dual carriageway. Follow down to road end (2nd roundabout in 2007) and turn right on the A1308 again to Stowmarket. At next roundabout take third exit onto Gripping Way. Still on the A1308 Gripping Way About 300yards (Metres) down turn right into Bridge Street and the lorry park is on the right. Local Authority it was free.

A40..A449..between Monmouth and Ross-on-Wye, Junction with A4137 The Highway Star This Transport Cafe operation is marked for WVM parking but an HGV may well find a slot on the side,,, outside of the tourist season it should be easy to park an HGV as I found it. It does seem well patronised by locals and WVM which is a good sign. You can find it on the sat nav poi files we have on this website. The Highway Star is its name,, the staff seem good and the food the same,, however food order hours of business are only 08.00hrs to 14.30hrs 7 days, it actually closes at 15.00hrs each day. Give them a ring on 07847 757 647. You should enjoy this stop! Its located on the north east bound side but access is over the bridge if south east bound. Its about 500yards north east of the Symonds Yat services area,,, For old time drivers of this road, there used to be a Transport Cafe on the other side by this bridge. If I recall a Scania Depot is now near where it used to be... none of you can be that old? If travelling along the A40 from England head north out of Haverfordwest and watch for the airport sign, (5 minutes plus or minus) take your 44tons in the entrance and park up by turning right at the T-junction and turning around then park up. Walk across to the Propeller Cafe and enjoy a meal. Its a friendly place. WVM can turn left at the end and park up outside the Cafe. A77 south of B751 intersection. Hi, i was looking through your site and decided to send you this one. I use it all the time and it's excellent. It's located North of Kilmarnock on the A77 northbound at Fenwick Motors. There's room to park 5 or 6 wagons at least and once the M77 is finished it will be the last stop before the dreaded motorway services. Typical snackbar fare, rolls(sausage, bacon, etc) breakfasts etc. There are tables & chairs outside in the summer (sometimes, remember it's Scotland.........) The food is top class, it's the only snackbar i'd eat bacon out of around here as it's REALLY bacon not the crap most snackbars call bacon! Hours are 7.30-2.00 just now as they don't open as long due to the upheaval of the motorway construction. Access is a bit difficult at times due to the roadworks but worth it if you want to eat something that won't have you off work for the next couple of days! Realistically, if you travel the A77 regularly you'll know it anyway as it's the only one in the area and most of it's custom is regulars like myself. Cheers Logan.

This establishment has overnight parking (ask behind the counter please), fuel sales, showers and fantastic grub from sarnies, breakfasts and stuff with chips to full roast dinners. It's very clean, the staff are great and it's really good value as well. They have bubble and squeak in their cooked breakfast (yummy yummy!!) and proper big mugs of tea. You can find it just off the Nunney Catch roundabout on the A361 in Somerset, between Shepton Mallet and Frome.

Kay's Kabin is a Mobile Snack Bar located in medium sized double width Lay-by (3 artics plus) on A465 Eastbound Heads of the Valleys Road. Opening times are Mon - Fri 7am - 3pm and Sat 7.30am - 2pm. Now trading in its 3rd year. We are the only Snack Bar this side of the road on the A465 and have a flashing open sign on approach, (the only one I know of and brilliant for dark winter mornings). Very welcoming with good freshly cooked food and a good cuppa tea or coffee. Apart from the usual bacon rolls etc. we also cater for the healthier eater ie; cold sandwiches and salad boxes. It is in Carmarthenshire on the A485 between New Inn and Llanllwni approx 2 miles from New Inn just at the top of the hill, on the left, in a large lay by, enough room for 5 artics. Wyns Catering is a mobile van serving a good range of freshly made food i.e. Breakfast rolls ,bacon rolls etc. and a good mug of tea or coffee served up in a real mug. The breakfast rolls are 2 sausages 2 rashers of bacon and a organic egg in a 5inch bap for 2.20 and if any driver calls in and tells the owner that they saw the truck stop on this page she will give you a free cup of tea or coffee. opening hours are Mon-Fri .. 9.30am--2.30pm. This Static mobile Transport Cafe has a toilet; the opening hours are 0800hrs to 1600hrs. It is a very clean cafe and provides good service; the food is very good compared to others in the area. Directions are as follows: Coming from Manchester along the A638 (Woodhead Pass Road) to the end turn right at round about along the A616 (Stocksbridge By Pass) for approx. 5 Miles cafe is situated on the Left. Though small holding about 12 vehicles it may not be known to some. No facility on site but a 24hr Sainsburys is just a stones throw away. Just head for the town centre and pick up the signs. Dewsbury’s small so no matter which way you go just turn onto the road opposite the bus station First left off of there first right. You will have to buzz the gate for entry and exit. Vic

Drivers mail: Just to let you know the Red Beck Cafe is on Doncaster Road between Wakefield and Featherstone. Low Bridge (14ft 3 inches ref: truckers Atlas) is on the A638 from Wakefield just before the A645 turn off to featherstone/Pontefract. JOHN VOLVO FITTER SAYS: Just to add to above, I go for my breakfast every morning after nightshift to this cafe. it has been going for years and is open 24/7 it has lots of parking space, beds showers etc and even a small bar. The ladies are nice too! Drivers that don’t know need to know moor about this it really is a gem. The low bridge is on the a638 Doncaster Pontefract side of the cafe but you can get to it from the m62 via a655 from m62 j31.it is about 2milles from Wakefield on the right-hand side just before the village of Crofton on the a638 just past Gees Transport. Redbeck also have a cafe at Howden off m62 j37 on the a614 but i haven’t been to it for a long time, i will let you know. Thanks for a brill site, off to bed. "KAYLAS CAFE" signs erected outside and on my container. We are open 7.00am until 13.30pm Monday to Friday and 7.00am until 13.00pm Saturdays. Closed Sundays. We have toilets and a sink in a small building next to the cafe which is open 24/7 and supplied with toilet rolls and soap. We serve breakfast's, dinner's, hot and cold sandwiches, hot and cold drinks chocolate and crisps, any time of the day that we are open, so if you have been working nights and want a dinner at 7am then we will make you a dinner !! If you want a breakfast at 12noon then we will serve you a breakfast !! If it isn't on our menu then we are open to suggestions !! I allow overnight parking on my carpark free of charge, as long as they wake up and make room for my customers in the morning !! We are a transport cafe with a personality, and we aim to make people smile, because a job in a cab is a lonely one !!
