The Victoria is about 100 yards away
Its a large white pub with two very large car/ parks standing in its own grounds with ample grassy areas, and trees and shrubs surround two of the sides.
Ample free Lorry parking can be found on the industrial estate adjacent to the pub.
The Victoria can except Tractor units and Lorries up to 7.5 Tonne but only in the winter as in the summer the car parks are taken up by cars and bike meetings.
The Victoria also boasts that it does hot food for truckers up until midnight Sunday to Thursday as Friday and Saturday it takes on the roll of the best live music venue in the area, food can still be available but more in snack form, i.e. burgers, bacon butties and anything else quick, entertainment is laid on every night of the week with Karaoke on Mondays.
Many a lorry driver has tested his vocal cords out on this open microphone night. Disco's / television / table tennis /pool and darts fill in the rest of the week, or chill out in the beer garden.
Good wholesome meals are available at £3.50 and the pub is famous for its home made chips.
8oz Rump steak on a bed of fried onions chips and peas are only £3.99. All our meat is supplied by our local butcher.
The Vic is primarily a bikers and live music pub and many lorry drivers having a weekend off jump on their motorbikes and come for a weekends camping.
