This is the NEW LOCKERBIE Truck Stop Transport Cafe & Lorry Park which opened on 2nd April 2007. The old location was in the town of Lockerbie itself.

NOW OPEN WITH BAR FACILITIES FROM MARCH 2008 ONWARDS
The NEW Lockerbie Truck Stop is located 30.4 miles north of Carlisle, which will take an HGV at 56MPH 41 minutes to cover. It is also 1hr 17 minutes from Glasgow Centre at 56 MPH. You can download Transport Cafe POI (point of interest) files for your Tom Tom Sat Nav from the bottom of every Cafe list page; this cafe is included on this download. This download is free!
For none sat nav drivers northbound on the M74 take the B7076 north at junction 17 or for southbound drivers take the southbound B7076 at junction 16 for about a mile plus perhaps,, passing the Dinwoodie left turn,, after a few hundred yards the entrance to the Lockerbie truck Stop Transport Cafe & Lorry Park can be seen on the left hand side. It's on the right had side of course for northbound drivers on the B7076.

Post Code DG11 2SL is not greatly accurate but will put you near the Lockerbie Lorry Park and Transport Cafe. Just do not turn off the B7076 into any other road unless its the Truck Stop entrance, that way you can safely use the postcode. Going north the cafe is on the right hand side, Nice wide sweeping entrance. Find this Cafe (and others) on the TOM TOM (can be used on other sat navs I am advised but check) poi file download on this websites A&B roads list page or Mway list pages, near the end of the list of Cafes on a YELLOW shaded area. This New Lorry Park Transport Cafe has been built because the owner wants to look after the professional driver,, it's a big undertaking and not one for the faint hearted,,, there are very very few in Britain which have this capacity and are actually owner operated. !
It requires the love of the business, which Venture capital owned operators couldn't or don't in practice touch for quality. This owner wants every meal to meet the standard he would like for himself,,, that's his determination, ,,, which is good news! The food is mainly if not all,, home made.
This new operation has 25 rooms for accommodation.
This facility is now fully operational in December 2010. It is worth mentioning that this is a good stop for those tourists who want value for money and a fair priced B&B for the night. The B&B is not en suite but two very nice and modern separate shower rooms are available with a number of fully enclosed separate showers in each, one shower room for males and one for females. Separate ablution rooms, spacious & modern are also part of the facility. Disabled have full Facilities.

Hours are Sunday to Friday 17.00hrs to 23.00hrs.
