Midway Transport Cafe is located at the intersection of the A49 and the A41 on the south side of the Whitchurch bypass. Its well lit up as you can see in the photograph so you cannot miss it
The hours of business are quite exceptional even for a transport cafe, located as it is. I have eaten there and it was good tucker on both occasions. It boasts being Britains best Transport Cafe. Well, as long as the tucker is good, and upwards of good, no one minds such claims, do they?. Reports to Webmaster listed below...

This place must be one of the best in U.K. unsoiled showers, clean loos, food excellent, drivers discount etc. etc. They even have a library, what more do you want? from

Hi again,
Just thought Id drop you another line as I had called to Midway last night. This is a very good place, very much like transport café`s used to be like, every table a slightly different style but it adds to the character of the place. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the place is very clean. It has plenty of room and the showers are just as described. The food is excellent and portions generous.
Also I wondered if we could point out to truckers that the lorry park here is under threat of closure.
The council seem to be thinking of closing it down as the Raven next door has its own parking (Which was full by the time I got there).
Some people have not been paying for parking at the meter (£3 for overnight) and the council say they are finding the upkeep impossible (as councils do).
So the owner of the Midway has started a petition to keep it open.
Could it be possible to mention it so that truckers using the truckpark might take the time to sign the petition.
