Snooper – a leading supplier of GPS satellite navigation systems for trucks – has unveiled its smallest, high definition DVR yet with the DVR-1HD Mini. Costing just £149.99, it is also the lowest priced vehicle drive recorder from the company.
Mini by name and nature, the device measures only 70mm in length and 30mm in diameter, making it a very discreet DVR that mounts behind a vehicle’s rear-view mirror. Using the GPS windscreen bracket provided, the device will not obstruct a driver’s view and with a 120 wide angle viewing, the DVR will not miss an incident. Another handy bonus is the auto ignition switch on that takes the responsibilty of remembering to turn it on away from the driver. They are covered instantly, never missing an incident.
Described by Snooper as a little ‘black box recorder’ the device automatically overlays data including location, time, date and velocity onto Google Maps, providing all the important data that any insurance claim would need. It’s also easy to easy to view and download footage through Snooper viewer. Using the SD card reader provided, download the footage files to your PC or laptop and review quickly, simply and clearly.
The DVR-1HD Mini has a built-in microphone to not only capture video footage but also audio, providing a total record of any situation.
Steven Ballard, Marketing and Product Director at Snooper, said: “Our latest edition to our DVR range, DVR-1HD Mini is our lowest priced DVR to-date but still with high definition recording, GPS technology and an 8GB SD card as standard. DVRs have claimed to reduce driver’s motor insurance claims by between 30-50% and with our DVR-1HD Mini’s low retail price; we believe every driver will be able to protect themselves against false insurance claims.”
