This information updated December 10th 2008. It is always suggested you phone for latest information if the information is very important. Owners or managers who have their own website don’t correct even their OWN information as they should,, this applies to nearly all operators and not just the Raven, who at this time advertise a different time on their website to that on their FRONT DOOR, but again I point out they are nearly all the same so I don’t criticise the Raven more that most others, if the cap fits wear it, if not,,, don’t!

Dear Sir
The Raven cafe on the A41/A49 is no longer known as such, (was also known as Dinkies or Dinkies) it has been taken over by Lynn Mills about 12months ago (2002) and she has renamed it Lynn's Raven cafe and it has come back to life like the old days when Cedric was in charge. Lynn needs all the help going for it to succeed and keep all the female staff fully employed and looking after all the transport lads and girls that use it.

The Raven Truck Stop Transport Cafe ...was Dickies (or Dinkies).. is next door to the Midway Truck Stop listed below, Ian Pickard from Ripon says as follows... Excellent cafe, good food and plenty of parking, located next door to midway truck stop but I believe this to be the better of the two, Ian Pickard.. HGV driver 16 years... used dinks many times even gone out of my way to stop there, ask 4 Lyn. The raven beats the midway by a country mile. Arkwright .. short, fat, grey and stutters.

This cafe is also good for coaches. I called in here on a Sunday and thought I must sample the goods, so I asked for sausage egg and chips and a mug of tea. The price was very reasonable and the size of the meal ordered was good. The chips were excellent, there were two eggs on the plate, done to perfection, it was good. The lady serving was nice and cheerful and helpful.
