Directions to Red Lion Truck Stop
From the M1:
Take the exit at Junction 16 on the M1 signposted Daventry (If coming from South) or signposted Northampton West (If coming from the North). After taking the exit, follow the sign "A45 Northampton". The Red Lion Truck Stop is situated 500 yards from the Junction. Once on the dual carriageway, immediately the Truck Stop signs are visible, pull off onto the slip road and head into the lay by. The Truck Stop is within the lay by.
From the M40:
Take the exit at Junction 10, which is the A43 exit to Northampton/Middleton Stoney/B430
At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto A43 heading to M40 South/M1/Northampton/Milton Keynes/A421
Go through 5 roundabouts, At the 6th roundabout, take the 3rd exit and stay on A43
Go through 1 roundabout, At the 2nd roundabout, take the 2nd exit and stay on A43
Slight right to stay on A43, then Go through 2 roundabouts
At the 3rd Roundabout, take the 1st exit toward Birm'ham/M1/M6
Turn left towards the M1. Merge onto M1 via the ramp to Leicester/Birm'ham/M6
At junction 16, take the A45 exit to signposted Daventry, follow signs for A45 Northampton, and then follow signs for truck park. Truck Stop is 500 yards from the Junction within the lay by.

Currently NO fuel pumps, however the nearest pumps are 0.5 miles on the dual carriage way at the Texaco Garage, or the next Junction down at 15a, which is not the Northampton Services, which is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. (About 5 minute drive from the Truck Park)
The Red Lion Truck Stop accepts ALL major Credit Cards INCLUDING American Express. We now also accept most fuel cards, including DKV, uta, Red Fuels, KEYFUELS, My Fuels, CSC, Auto PASS and SNAP Cards.
Details of Cafe Pub
The Café serves traditional Pub Food, which is also all home made.
The menu ranges from Mighty Mix Grills, 10oz Juicy Rump steaks to Homemade Beef Lasagnas, Chilli Con Carne and Savoury Minces.
We also cater for the health conscious drivers by offering Various Salads, such as Chicken Salad, Ham Salad, Cheese Salad and so on, which all include Potatoes Salad and Coleslaw with the meal.
We also offer a wide range of Sandwiches and Baguettes if you are only feeling a tad hungry.
History of Establishment
The Red Lion Truck Stop is over 300 Years old. It started off as a sorting office, where the horse and cart would have a break and then go back on the road to deliver the mail. The lay by that is there now, was in fact the main road which, when the main dual carriage was being built became the lay by that we see now today.
The Red Lion establishment slowly grew from not just being a place to stop for postal workers but everyone alike, and soon when horse and cart slowly evolved to 4 wheel drives and then to trucks, The Red Lion was the place to stop, to eat, drink and have a rest.
Ever since then we have always tried to maintain the same ethics to offer good quality food and drink to anyone that wants to come and take a break.
