This very well know Transport Cafe Truck Stop Take Away is located about 100yds up the A66 road when turning off at the Scotch Corner roundabout. The roundabout is located over the top of the A1 dual carriageway after going up the slipway.
It´s really easy to visit this famous Scotch Corner Transport Cafe Truck Stop and rejoin the A1 either from the north or south bounds section.
At the Scotch Corner slipway Turn off, and up to the round-about, then turn onto the A66 (heading towards the M6 at Penrith) then 100 yds on the near side pull into the 200yd long lay-by which runs back away from the road. You can exit at the other end and return back to the A1 if required.

HGV, Multi Drop, and travellers all use this Transport Cafe, it´s a true cosmopolitan stop.
Home Made food is good at this Transport Cafe, also try some of the homemade cakes or pies, it´s a good feast. Once you have used this Scotch Corner Transport Cafe you will return.
