for this Transport Cafe Truck Stop.
The Standeford Transport Cafe Lorry Park, was recommended on E mail by an HGV driver who I cant seem to locate at this time (tell me if you read this good sir).
I have called in at the Standeford Transport Cafe quite a few times, quite often to eat,,, the staff are friendly and the food is first class,,, the lorry park is full at night,,, I am not sure how many this lorry park will take but it must be in the 100 plus HGV's.If I find somewhere where the egg and chips is a complete delight it has to be high on the list,,,, why,,,, well egg and chips is a simple food,,, nothing complicated,,,, Here the eggs are pristine, white on top, plus clean oil 100% no dark oil present on the egg, the chips are excellent,,, the soft white bread buttered is also a delight to put into your mouth,,,, whilst the mug of tea cannot be faulted,,,, so if care is taken with simple things ,,, it will be with the rest,,, I had rhubarb crumble with custard,,, melt in your mouth job,, try it! I hear that RED WINE goes down a treat with steak and kidney pud,,, take your own candle and bottle, (I didn't say this) ... hell,, you only live once! Enjoy!
Did I say it was clean,,, yes it is,,, top twenty standard,,,,, tables get wiped pretty fast when its possible,, the whole staff seem to have the right ethic, a treat to see teamwork!

Southbound on the M6 its about 4 minutes from Junction 12.
Take the A5 westbound to Telford
First roundabout Gaily turn left south to Wolverhampton
Just under 1 mile its on the off side, on the northbound dual carriageway,
There is a slip road to turn across the northbound traffic, there are two entrances
If you miss it there is another slip where you can back double if the traffic is light
If you miss both there is a double roundabout some 1 mile down further.
Northbound M6 take M54 to junction 2 about 4 minutes
Follow A449 northbound and then about 1.5 miles after double roundabout look for cafe on left,,, two entrances and small slip road
Return to M6 on A449 junction 13, watch the speed cameras on A449, white van man 50mph where 60mph HGV 40mph of course,, between M54 and M6 junction 12 there are about 6 speed cameras,,, be warned! But,,,,,,,,,, its not a bad road. Hours of Business

I have just read your report on my favorite & regular breakfast spot. I agree with your report of how good it is. This has been my daily spot for about 14 years, before the present management took over. It has recently been rebuilt and offers all amenities, showers etc. and caters for overnight parking.
