Photographs on this page
The top photo of the Winking Man shows the road approach from the west (Leek) on the A53. There has been a hill climb just before the photo starts. As you can see there is ample turn in space and lots of parking space, but parking at the rear is nearer the transport cafe entrance.
The third photo at The Winking Man shows the approach from the east (Buxton) on the A53, again easy turn in and easy to see on approach. Look for the banner type signs but these photos should help.
The last photo shows the Winking Man from the Leek side again at an unnumbered road junction.
Webmaster Comments
The Winking Man offers facilities for transport HGV or White Van Man.
The owner seems very keen to provide a good service and the food looked good when I was there, local Army as well as HGV and passing motor biker were eating good sized meals/breakfasts, the price was very good as was quantity of food on the plate.
