This operation is well equipped to repair or adjust any CB Radio,,, Drivers passing through can leave their CB radio there for repair and collect when passing again, or possibly (ASK) pay postage costs for secure packing. Whatever! this service is well established and no doubt that tells you what you need to know if a stranger. Some Radio problems can be repaired while the driver is have a meal or on an overnight stay. A service is also offered to check the installation in the drivers cab, I am told prices are very reasonable.

Fuel is available from Exelby Fuel Services in a Multi Bay set up on the entrance to the Lorry Park.

The Thistle Transport Cafe Truck Stop is a comprehensive operation comprising of course a Transport Cafe, very secure fenced Overnight Park, plus a CB Radio repair facility housed within the truck park compound.
I was impressed with just this Radio facility alone. If you have a problem with your radio call in when north or south bound, leave it with Anthony and possibly collect it on the flip flop (CB language for ..on the way back..). Buy a new antenna or SWR meter for in line monitoring, coax cable or plugs.
If you need a new coax feed I am sure a number are made up ready.
Perhaps a new CB or a mobile phone, all are available in a nice friendly atmosphere.
I called in at this cafe in May 2003 with my son and young lady, both are high flyers and sensibly fussy, nothing wrong with that, so here goes,,,, they were very impressed, it was clean all over (ALL),, and the food was very good indeed, I have to admit that the steak pie was excellent, the chips were excellent, and the puddings were also excellent. The Thistle was top notch and it may well be all the time!
