MONDAY 6AM CONTINOUS until SATURDAY ABOUT 13.00HRS last orders for meals on saturday about 12.30hrs.
SUNDAY 12.00hrs until 22.00hrs. Last orders for meals about 21.00hrs.
Then the cycle starts again at 6am Monday morning.
Parking overnight £12.00. free shower .. £2.00 meal voucher for restaurant or bar.

Penrith Transport Cafe, Truck Stop, Lorry Park is located just off Junction 40 on the M6. Lorry Drivers and other professional drivers, White Van Man & commercial travellers, are aware of its famed position on the A66 intersection, which crosses over the top area of England to the A1 at Scotch Corner.
Turning off the M6 follow the Penrith town centre signs from the roundabout over the motorway.
This places you on a short stretch of dual carriageway to another roundabout some few hundred yards away,,,,,, keeping left take the first exit following around to the left,,, keep on this road for perhaps 500yds looking to the right hand side after a couple of rounded bends the entrance and signs will be seen on the right, see appropriate photo below.
Penrith Truck stop is a smart looking establishment and is one that was under the Night Owl control until about 1999, being purpose built originally by British Petroleum for HGV and other professional drivers.
I was given a guided tour of the facilities and was impressed at everything I saw. I regret that I am not always able to eat at every Transport Café I visit, if I did, I would be with serious weight problems, and need an HGV to take me around, rather than my diesel silver coloured Renault Kangoo MPV that can do 63 MPG on motorways driving, with its present weight on board.

As a coach party we used this facility on Tuesday 15 January 2008. The kitchen was very quick with the orders. The whole place was clean and food of a high standard and reasonabley priced. Very quick turnaround. Beats anywhere e;se I have been.
