At the top of this page we have the HGV Driver for Helmet Walberg, who was getting a 1st class feed at the Super Sausage on the A5, I have forgotten his name, so mail me please,,,, This HGV does a route between Germany and England every week. I was doing a visit to the Super Sausage on the A5 north of Stony Stratford, this establishment has not changed in the best possible way, its clean, good food, well presented, price is very good, and the staff are well above average,, it makes it a pleasure to call at an Transport café that has such a high standard,.
I used this Transport café in the mid 1950’s and remember calling in for egg and chips then, nice chips, clean and not sodden in fat or oil, eggs that are white all over. In the UK the British way of frying an egg is quite different to the USA, we first have a good egg pan with clean oil (not fat in 2004) then we break the egg with care into the pan at about 125c temperature, when the body of the egg has changed to near all white apart from the top, we then gently splash or fold the hot oil over the egg, making the whole egg white and great looking, of course this takes more time, but, it looks like an egg a little more than sunny side down.
We have cross country as the main theme this week, some unusual or different vehicles from the Royal show.
The ambulance is not the standard around Britain’s roads, but a specialist version for off road, they are show here at the Royal Show in central England, its nice to see the crew of two relaxing as I myself know how efficient these people are when called on to do their duty with compassion and care. .

A large size horse box followed by a specialist Rangers Bike, complete with specialist equipment to do many unusual jobs where other vehicles cannot reach. I cannot seem to locate details on this company, if you know them please tell me. Finally a Range Rover, personally I have this dislike of 4 wheel drives, unless they are really needed, sorry chaps, if you have one of these fuel guzzling vehicles then have a reason, yes! I know it’s a free country and all that, and you can spend your money as you wish, some people feel important or superior driving one, this is all to often given away by their driving attitude. I apologise to those owners of 4 wheel drives with tractor tyres collecting kids from a city school, where the need is obviously very great, I just think the number of people with the wrong values has increased, good old Dell Boy where are you.
