Astley HGV Recovery Service breakdown vehicle, Tesco, Scammel Cummins
M6 & M6 Toll Merging north End, countryside scenes

Astley Recovery Breakdown Service seems to have some comprehensive facilities,,, blow up air bags and all sizes of breakdown service vehicles. They are shown here coming to the rescue of a Tesco Articulated HGV Vehicle,,,, I understand the driver was not seriously hurt,, best I say this at the start, before I mention the funny bit,,,,
The joke might be going around the transport cafes by now,,,,,,,,,, that the driver was over keen,,, driven to be the best for Tesco,,, and to prove the slogan,,, you shop we drop,,,, he decided that it required a demo,,,, and who said drivers don’t love the boss,,, give the man,, errrr person an extra paid holiday,,,, I hope he/she has well recovered from his/her shock whoever he/she is,,, this happened some 2 months ago chaps, so he/she will start to see the funny side of it,,,, I hope

Then we have some countryside photographs again, the tractor driver baling out, and folk relaxing on a hillside on a lazy day in summer.

This is followed by a photograph of the north end of the M6 M6 toll intersection,,, we can see them merging on the north and south bound carriageways. In the distance we can see the A5 half mile marker, in the foreground we see the one mile marker,,, all reduced by a factor of ten squeezing it all up. Then the final A5 turn off big sign just around the bend.

Next the railways,,, here is the back end of a train heading into Wales from Shropshire,, turning to the right,,, ahead on the same line comes another train heading north along the border. Notice the autumn colours here,,, which makes this picture.

Finally a photo of some real horse power,,, I actually took this photo,,,,, work that out,,,, well yes! I am getting on a bit,,,, It was taken by the A49 Cafe just north of craven arms, see the Café List… yes!! I did take the photo,,, of a photo,, you can recognise the trees in the background if you call at this roadside cafe for a breaky,,, the tree shapes are still discernable. The road you can see is the A49,, looks single track from the photo angle,,, such a lot has happened to the infrastructure of our country in what is a short space of time!
