Trucking Photographs & the English Countryside, Microlite’s, Tractor at Work & with some American Trucks/Stops
The British Lorry or Truck Driver has at times the pleasure of seeing the wonderful green of Britains (Known historically as England’s) pleasant land,, to be accurate Irish and our continental friends seem to be also on British roads just as much, whilst of course in their own country we also appear on their roads. The difference in landscape can be quite contrasting, which makes this a wonderful world we live, one to be looked after & enjoyed by all of us.
We have on this page perhaps more of a variety that usual, but that’s what can make it interesting, like a market place or car boot sale, you are not quite sure what is around the corner.
Sunsets, Scenery, European Lorries or Trucks, American Trucks, Microlite’s and Hang Gliders on Tow into the sky to see our wonderful land where tractors design fields below into patterns for us to see,,, what a wonderful planet, how lucky we are and do we really really appreciate it. I really hope we do, its better we appreciate it now and look after it rather than wait and be to late,,, think about it, there has to be some pain, some cost, we cant just sit back and think it wont happen to us,,, it will happen,,, lets hope that every nation will adjust to protect their way of life or there wont be a way of life to protect.
Red Sunsets
Red Sunsets CAN quite often be pollution of the atmosphere, in what we call the troposphere, where the weather is,,,,,, so the lower the sun gets to the horizon because most muck can be in the air at a lower level, and its a longer path through the muck, the greater the chance of seeing red (but not always). It can be in a strata’s so that as the sun progresses down in the horizon the light can pass through more and then less dirt particles,, and you then see the colour red as a result of particles which actually scatter the other shorter wavelength colours, leaving red to pass through in a straight line. Strata’s of different size particulate matter can be more confined to their set strata’s for moments in time, then you may see beautiful vivid yellows as the path of light to you the observer is cleaner or through different particulates, which would be at different moments of time through its progression of setting. Red light is a longer wavelength. Yellow is slightly less and so it is more easily deflected, or effectively scattered by a smaller certain size particle. This can mean environmentalists (which is what we all should be) see Red twice!!!!!
I should add for those students and teachers of the electromagnetic spectrum that I am aware that refraction plays a part in this show of light, and when we get properly involved in fully understanding the process it do get very very complicated (deliberate bad English) and that’s not where I want to go. One thing that is often said is that passing through a different medium, light changes its speed, it does not! Its like a HGV and a small car going down a runway at a set speed where there are holes of a size that don’t cause the HGV to swerve around them so it goes in a straight line, the small car travelling at the same speed has to swerve around them to miss the holes,,, the HGV will arrive at the end of the runway first but both travelled at the same speed. Do I need to say the car went farther,,, well if it helps that’s why the HGV got there first, and that’s more than enough for me!
There are a few sunset photographs shown on this page, red and yellow predominance’s are both shown. The professional driver will often see more of natures (and man made) phenomena because they are outside most of the time, HGV PSV and white van man have this bonus,,, even if at times it would be better if it was not available, because it can be man made!

English Welsh Borders, great countryside
The sky is blue, the grass is green, what more could a sheep ask for,,, or a human being with such a view. Gone are the days of people fighting each other in skirmishes across the hills,, now a cell mast stands on a hill top, quiet, alone, with sheep for company as we all get on with living.
