About Transport Cafe was founded and established in 1996 by a businessman who had previously been an HGV driver who started driving in the 1950s whilst an electrician on a Mobile Field Photographic Section in the Royal Air Force. The requirement for all unit personnell to drive led him from troop and equipment carrying trucks, including bowsers, onto articulated photographic laboratories which required manoeuvring in forests to remote intelligence bunkers. His experience is also in industrial electronics, ham radio, website architecture, computers plus business experience over 39 years including catering, accommodation and five times entrepreneurs.
