We couldn’t let the Dorset Steam Fair pass us by at Transport Cafe – especially with so much in the way of vintage and classic trucks – so our friend Anne-Claire Heels got snap-happy while there last weekend.
It was the 46th year of the show and was held, as always, at the village of Tarrant Hinton, near Blandford Forum in the heart of the beautiful Dorset countryside. Not even iffy weather could dampen the excitement and atmosphere.
Nearly 400 commercial vehicles were on show this year, bearing a wide selection of familiar names in British road haulage.
Here is our snapshot of one of Europe’s largest outdoor event locations as we look back at how people used to live, as well as the stars of the British haulage industry!
This is just a snippet of our selection, but keep your eyes peeled each Thursday on our twitter and FB pages as more will be making an appearance for #throwbackthursday…
