Graham Eardley established Eardley International in 1997, operating from the family farm near Dalton, Lockerbie. Starting with livestock haulage and then moving into international refrigerated transport, the company built steadily eventually outgrowing the farm. Graham and the Eardley International team moved to Ecclefechan and being located adjacent to Junction 19 A74 (M), the site proved to be a perfect site to further expand the business.
Having spent many years on the road himself, Graham knew that high quality facilities specifically for commercial drivers were few and far between. So we set about creating a truckstop which offered everything that drivers could require: a café, clean showers, rest area and a truckwash. We opened and 2007 and have just completed a major expansion which has doubled our parking capacity.
At The ‘fechan Truckstop you can be sure of a warm welcome, delicious home-made food using some really excellent local produce, and a comfortable place to sit and have your rest. We offer free WiFi in the café, so you can keep yourself busy while you wait for your truck to be washed.
Quality and attention to detail are the watch words for the truckwash. Using a state of the art gantry wash coupled with our dedicated washing team, means you can be sure of a great finish. We use non-caustic soap so your paintwork is protected and we recycle our water, so we are protecting the environment too.
Come and visit us and see for yourself.
